Once upon a time in the heart of the Cordillera Blanca mountain range in Peru, born in Huallin village – two brothers, both native Quechua, had a dream..

This is us – Cesar and Hernan Calero Asencios, the mountain guides from Conchucos explorer. We have spent over 15 years guiding adventurers from all over the world through Cordilliera’s peaks, valleys, and glaciers. This is our HOME and we always love sharing our knowledge of the local culture and environment with visitors.

For many years we worked for other companies, and while we appreciate the opportunities those jobs had given to us, one day, while reflecting on our experiences, we realized that we wanted to create something more authentic. So, we decided to start our own journey. We pooled our knowledge and start thinking how we can create a company that would offer visitors a truly unique and authentic experience of our beloved Andes.

We worked tirelessly to create itineraries that would take visitors to the most picturesque landscapes in which we ventures since we were children. Then we started adding to these itineraries opportunities for visitors to engage with our local community. This is how Conchucos Explorer was born.

Today we remain dedicated to our mission of sharing our love and knowledge of this unique corner of the world and we invite you to join us on an adventure of a lifetime.
